Reports & Financials

Track revenue, monitor your pipeline, identify outstanding balances, and export data.

Reading Your Revenue Reports

SCOPE's revenue reports give you a complete financial picture across all jobs for a given year. Three views are available depending on how you want to slice the data.

  1. Click SCOPE Menu (top-left) and select Reports.
  2. Select one of the three revenue views:
    • Revenue by Job — one row per job, showing all financial columns.
    • Revenue by Company — totals grouped by client company.
    • Revenue by Representative — totals grouped by the internal rep assigned to each job.
  3. Each view shows these columns for every row:
    • Contract Value — the total price across all COs on the job.
    • Billed — the total amount billed to the client.
    • Received — the total amount collected.
    • Outstanding Balance — Billed minus Received.
  4. Use the year filter at the top of the report to select the year.
  5. Click any job row to navigate directly to that job in Proposals.
Tip: Revenue by Representative is useful for performance reviews — you can see at a glance how much each rep has contracted, billed, and collected for the year.

Understanding the Pipeline Report

The Proposal Pipeline report shows all active estimates and jobs across your team — giving you a real-time view of what's in flight and what revenue is expected.

Each row in the pipeline shows:

Use the pipeline report at the start of each week to:

Tip: Sort the pipeline by Due Date ascending to see which proposals are expiring soonest. Proposals past their due date that are still in Pending status need immediate attention.

Tracking Outstanding Balances

The Outstanding Balance report shows every job where the client still owes money — helping your team prioritize collections.

Key features of this report:

  1. Click SCOPE Menu (top-left) and select Reports.
  2. Select Outstanding Balance.
  3. Review the list from top to bottom — the largest balances appear first.
  4. Click any job to open it directly in Proposals to review CO details or send a follow-up.
Note: This report reflects data as of the last time Billed and Received were updated on each job. Keep those fields current in the CO table for accurate outstanding balance reporting.

Running the Change Order Report

The Change Order Report shows all individual COs across every job in a single filterable list — useful for auditing your CO pipeline and tracking approvals.

  1. Click SCOPE Menu (top-left) and select Reports.
  2. Select Change Order Report.
  3. Use the CO Status filter to narrow results by:
    • Pending — sent to client, awaiting approval.
    • Received — approved and signed.
    • Draft — internal draft, not yet sent.
    • Lost — not awarded.
    • Void — cancelled or superseded.
    • Allowance — draws from the job's allowance pool.
    • Record Entry — informational CO with no billing impact.
  4. Use the year filter to narrow by CO#0 date.
Tip: Run this report filtered to "Pending" at the end of each month to audit which COs are still awaiting client approval. A large Pending balance that's been sitting for weeks may indicate a communication breakdown that needs addressing.

Year-Over-Year Comparison Report

The Year-Over-Year Comparison report shows key revenue metrics across multiple years side by side — giving you the data to identify growth trends and set realistic targets.

Metrics shown for each year:

All years with data in SCOPE are included automatically — no configuration required. The report updates in real time as Billed and Received values are updated on jobs.

Tip: Share this report with your leadership team at year-end reviews. The side-by-side layout makes it easy to spot whether contract value is growing but collections are not keeping pace — a signal to improve billing processes.

Viewing the Allowance Report

The Allowance Report shows every job that has an allowance pool configured, along with how much of the pool has been drawn down and how much remains.

For each job in the report:

Jobs that have overdrawn their allowance are highlighted in red. This helps project managers catch budget overruns before the client is billed.

Note: SCOPE prevents saving a new ALLOWANCE CO if it would exceed the remaining pool. If you need to exceed the allowance, increase the pool amount on the job first (Edit Job Details → Allowance).

Jobs by Status Report

The Jobs by Status report shows the completion percentage across all active jobs, giving you a portfolio-level view of where each job stands. Use it to identify jobs that are stalled, behind schedule, or approaching completion.

Tip: Use Jobs by Status alongside the Outstanding Balance report — jobs that are 100% complete but still have an outstanding balance need a final billing follow-up.

Exporting and Printing Reports

Every report in SCOPE can be exported to a spreadsheet or printed with a clean layout.

CSV Export:

  1. Open any report.
  2. Click the CSV button in the toolbar.
  3. A comma-separated file downloads automatically. The filename includes the report name and today's date.
  4. Open in Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet application.

Print:

  1. Click the Print button in the toolbar.
  2. The browser print dialog opens with a clean layout — the navigation bar, sidebar, and toolbar are hidden automatically.
  3. Use your browser's Save as PDF print destination to save the report as a PDF file.
Tip: Use CSV export when you want to do further analysis in Excel — pivot tables, custom charts, or merging with accounting data. Use Print when you need a clean, formatted document to share with management or clients.
